Eye-Opener!

I love gaining new experience, not every time, but most of the times! Over the past week, I've been to 2 places that made my jaws dropped and went "woah, this place is too grand to describe!" That's right, these 2 places are really an eye-opener to me, never expected them to be how they are! Alright, the first place that I went was to Changi Prison! That wasn't the first time I've went to prison, I went there once when I was young but I can't recall the exact details because during that time, I had no clue that the place is a prison. Oh well, that's the joy of being a kid, innocent and carefree! It's a really cool place, the exterior looks like a FBI academy, or something you would describe as those high tech buildings you see in CSI shows! Yup, that was the feeling I had when I first saw the place.

I guess I will not take up a job at the prison because I know I'm not suitable for it. Honestly, I had a sense of fear when I entered the cells, no idea why, probably it's just me. But in any case, I am very thankful to be able to gain this new experience and to learn new things! It was definitely an exciting trip for me! Just one thing to note, the ventilation was really bad. *sigh* I had feelings of suffocation when the officer brought us for a tour around the prison..

The second place that I went to was to Novena Medical Centre! Once I stepped into the centre and took the lift to level 10, the first thing that came to my mind was "I'M LOST IN A MAZE." Ey and I had no clue where to turn and where is the centre located at! Oh, just to share, we went there to take some photos of the products that Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation will be selling on the charity bazaar organized by my class! What made the both of us frustrated was the fact that we had to wait for 40 minutes before the guy reached the centre and let us in. I was on the phone with me when I clearly heard him say all he need was 15 minutes to go from City Hall to Novena, no idea how that duration went up to more than half. That aside, the products that they are going to sell are pretty cute and amazing, I can't reveal any details here, but, do check out the link that I am going to post later for more details!

Anyway, the medical centre looks like a grand hotel, a 5-star hotel to be exact! There were all sorts of clinics, ranging from oral clinics for children, to skin clinics, to psychiatry clinics.. Too many to list down! The place is just too cool, especially the medical suite centre, it's like a freaking show room! *gets hyper and jumps around the room* the trip went well, other than the fact that we had to wait for so long before we were being welcomed into the centre. *pouts*

Being an extremely nice and sweet friend, Ey treated me to dinner today at J8! The original idea was to head over to Mos Burgers so that she can complete the stats practice questions, but luck was not on our side, we can't seem to find any despite walking to and froth the eatery places at J8. In the end, we ambushed a restaurant called "Ambush" (sense that lameness over there?)! It's a fast casual European dining place, it was my first time there and the food's not bad, worth the try! The portion was a little too huge for the both of us, so we didn't exactly finish our meal.. Hmm.. Nevertheless, I am thankful for this wonderful dinner treat from Ey!

We went to Bishan Library after dinner just so Ey can do another stats practice to get herself fully prepared for the test on Monday! She's a fast and smart learner, really proud of her when she as attempting the questions, so good job! After she completed the questions, we went on some photo shooting craze with mirrors, oh obviously, that was her idea! Check them out here!

SPECIALLY FOR YOU!

Yes, I'm dedicating this blog post to my one and only girlfriend :) Don't get me wrong, don't get us wrong, we are not together, we call each other "girlfriend" because we are close this way. We're not just best friends, but rather, we are just like a family. All that we've been through made us closer, and despite the frequent quarrels and disagreements that we have (which occurs approximately 3-5 times per day), we still love each other endlessly!

Firstly, I wanna apologize for the delay in dedicating a blog post to you. I didn't forget, I've always remember it. It's just that I can't find the time to do so. Yup, that's not a very good excuse or rather an unacceptable excuse to you, therefore, I'm sorry. Forgive me, please. You should know that you're a very important person to me and I will never ever forget your birthday! My apologies for making you upset the other night because I didn't send you any birthday wish on time. I shall not explain and I'm sorry for making you feel like I've actually forget about your birthday.

Secondly, I wanna thank you for being so awesome! You're really someone special to me, all those fights, quarrels that we have just make me realized how important you are to me! No matter what happens, I can assure you that you will always have me by your side. We can fight all we want, bicker all we want, but we both know, at the end of the day, we will still stick by each other's side like super glue (sounds a little disgusting, but oh well, that's the only metaphor I can come up with!). Even if we don't talk for days, we know that deep inside, we do care for each other. I just want you to know, you're amazing this way :) and I love you <3 <3

EMBARGO.

Yep, I know that picture has nothing to do with my blog title, but oh well, I just find it funny that's all, not really funny, just, nonsensical, like me! Anyway, I swear the word "embargo" is a versatile word! I can use it anywhere in any part of the sentence. I can give you a few examples! Check it out!

Example 1:
"I am riding on an embargo." 

Example 2:
'EMBARGO YOU!"

Example 3:
"Hi, my name is Embargo." 

Example 4:
"This is so embargo. I was trying to be embargo earlier on and then I realized I forgot to bring my embargo, hence, I feel so embargo. Embargo it. Ugh."

Alright, the reason why I am harping so much on this word is because of the lecture yesterday. 6 HOURS OF PUBLIC EDUCATION LECTURE IS DEFINITELY A KILLER. Out of so many things that the lecturer shared with us, I only remembered that word because somehow, it annoyed me yesterday when she said it. Didn't expect myself to catch the "embargo virus" so easily, it's viral! Anyway, I think that it's good that the module, Public Education module is not being tested, or our whole class will experience a harbinger of doom and destruction (nah, not so serious, just exaggerating it). Yesterday lecture has proven the fact that 6 hours straight of the same lecture can really drive the class crazy. We went nuts, and it was really really honestly crazy.

What kept us alive, other than food, was Twitter. Twitter is our best friend whenever lessons can too boring. Once you see the SS1101 Twitter gang online at the same time during school hours, it only means a thing! THE LECTURE IS WAY TOO BORING, WE ARE NOT INTERESTED ANYMORE. Yep, that's a clue! We spammed Twitter's timeline like nobody's business and secretly hoping that the lecturer will get the cue and end the lesson earlier, but nope, she didn't & that's a very sad case. Those who were online on Twitter yesterday were laughing so much and some of us were just vibrating on our seats because the tweets were too funny! At least I know I vibrated pretty violently on my seat. Oops!

I'm sure the others will agree with me when I comment that the lecturer has some remarkable determination & perseverance in trying to complete the lesson even though it was pretty obvious that nobody was listening to her. She just kept going on and on and on as if the entire class was paying attentively to her, oh well. Hallucinations I'm guessing? Probably that's something I've learned from yesterday's lesson too! To be determined even though no one is gonna care about what you are saying, that's right. Determination is the key! At least learning something is better than learning nothing!

Oh oh! I remembered something important! OBAMA WON THE ELECTION! That's really the best piece of news that one can ever receive! It's not that I have something against Mitt Romney, it's just that I have this personal preference towards Obama. Don't ask me for an explanation, because I won't be able to offer one. I guess one reason why I support him is for the fact that he supports LGBT rights, and to me, that's important. No one should be denied the freedom to love. No matter what, I'm just so glad he won! During the last day of election, I spammed Twitter with all the news related to the election & went all nervous over the votes because there were a few instances whereby Romney was leading. The slow process of counting the votes was really torturing! Well, at least he won and that's all that matters! *grins*

So I reached home at 5am last night, the earliest/latest timing I've ever reach home. I ended work at 4am last night and I will never ever take closing shift anymore. It's really a killer especially since I'm not a night person., having to survive till that timing requires a lot of effort from my body and mind, and I'm just all happy that I don't have to do closing anymore. I have never yawned so much in my life before & once I fell asleep within seconds. I woke up this afternoon around 1230pm, and I hope this doesn't screw my body clock up. My parents and sister are overseas right now! I'm home alone and that means I have to handle all the household chores once again *sigh* tell me what's new..

I love taking photos in class because it's cool and awesome! Oh yeah! Totally spammed Wen Ting's phone today during Public Education discussion. Oops, don't get me wrong, even though we were busy taking and spamming photos, we did pay attention during the discussion, at least I did, I don't know about the other two ladies though (I'm referring to Ey & Wen Ting in this case)! There are days when you just look fantastic and fabulous when you take pictures, and for me, it happened to be today! I love all the photos that I took with them, just too awesome for words! <3

Anyway, I went down to my workplace after school today and had some light snacks. It felt great to be there since I only work during weekends and I hardly get the time to chit chat & gossip with my friends there! Well, at first things were alright till I received two shocking news that really turned me off! Honestly, I don't see the intentions behind those actions, every deserve a chance to learn, so why deny one the chance to improve and learn? *sigh* it's really depressing upon hearing those news, and I don't think there are any benefits in terms of the staffs overall satisfaction in their work place, at least for the short term it doesn't. I shall not reveal what news I've heard, confidentiality, but just to say, work politics like these are really a major turn off. It makes me wonder what's more going to happen next. I dare not even think about it.. Oh well, nothing I can do since the ending has already been laid out..
